Is TARS included in the price?
Yes, and it costs nothing extra. Every signed rental is one click from TARS: DECK fills in every field from the contract, so nobody types the rental into TARS again. When the car comes back, you close it on TARS from DECK as well.
Do I have to move off my Excel sheet on day one?
No. Bring the cars in first and run the next rental in DECK. Once you are on it you will not need the sheet for your cars, your customers or the rentals themselves. If it also holds other things, or you build your own reports from it, keep it for those. That part depends on how your business runs.
We rent to tourists on passports, not Emirates ID.
That is the normal case here. DECK scans passports and driving licences from any country, and the contract works the same way. Emirates ID is there when you want it, for residents and for anyone renting on one, so you are not locked into either.
Does DECK handle Darb in Abu Dhabi as well as Salik?
Yes, both. Each crossing goes on the rental that was live at that minute, and the Salik and Darb balances sit side by side.
Does DECK take the payment from the customer?
For fines and tolls, yes, through your own Stripe account. The renter saves a card when they sign the contract. When a fine, a Salik crossing or a Darb toll comes in, your staff choose the items and charge them to that card from DECK, and the renter gets a receipt by email. The money goes straight to your Stripe account: DECK takes no cut and never sees the card number. The rental price and the deposit you still take as you do today (cash, the card machine or a transfer), and DECK records them. Payments are switched off in the demo; we connect your own Stripe with you on your first day. How payments work.
Can my accountant work from what DECK keeps?
Yes. Every payment and expense sits in the Ledger with its receipt or invoice. Photograph a receipt or forward it on WhatsApp, and DECK reads it and proposes the entry; nothing is written until you confirm it. You match the bank statement line by line, and one click sends the month to your accountant, in files QuickBooks, Zoho Books and Xero import as they are. How accounting works.
