Terms of service.

What you get, what it costs, what we promise and what we do not. Short, because the short version is the honest one.

1. Who we are

DECK is operations software for rent a car companies, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. You can reach us at info@deck.ae.

2. What DECK does

DECK is a panel for running a rental business: your fleet, your customers, your rental agreements, your tolls and your fines. It records what you and your staff put into it and prints agreements from it.

DECK is a tool, not an adviser. It does not give legal advice, it does not decide whether a contract is enforceable, and it does not represent you in a dispute. What the agreements say is your business decision.

3. The trial

A new account gets seven days of the full product, with no card and no limit on what you can try. At the end of the seventh day the panel locks. Nothing is deleted; you simply cannot use it again until the subscription is paid.

4. Price and payment

DECK costs AED 8,700 a year, whatever the size of your fleet. There is no setup fee, no per-car charge, no per-user charge and no per-branch charge. It is billed once a year, in advance.

Payments are not refundable. Once a year is paid it is paid, whether you use the panel every day or not at all. If you do not want to continue, do not renew. We would rather write that plainly here than have you discover it later.

If a renewal is not paid, the panel locks the same way the trial does and your data stays where it is, subject to the retention periods in the privacy policy.

5. Your account

Every person on your team gets their own login and every user is included in the price, so there is no reason to share one. You are responsible for who you let in and for what they do once they are in. Tell us straight away if you think an account has been taken over.

6. Your customers' data

The passports, Emirates IDs, licences and signatures you put into DECK belong to your renters and, as far as we are concerned, to you. You are the controller of that data and we hold it for you. The full explanation is in the privacy policy, and it is worth reading before you scan the first document.

You are responsible for having the right to collect it, and for telling your renters what you do with it. We are responsible for keeping it safe, for keeping it in Dubai, and for handing it back or deleting it when you ask.

7. What you agree not to do

  • Use DECK to store data you have no right to hold.
  • Resell access, or give access to a business that is not yours.
  • Attempt to reach another company's data, or to break the panel on purpose.
  • Use DECK for anything unlawful under UAE law.

8. What we do not promise

We work to keep DECK available and correct, and we take that seriously enough to publish how it is built. We do not promise that it will never be down, never be wrong, or never lose a minute of work. Software written by people is not that.

Specifically, DECK does not promise that a fine will be recoverable, that a toll will be recharged in time, that a document is genuine, or that an agreement will hold up in front of a particular court. Those depend on facts outside the panel.

9. Ending it

You can stop using DECK whenever you like, and export everything on the way out. We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or that is being used to harm somebody. If we do, we will tell you why.

10. Liability

To the extent UAE law allows it, our total liability to you for anything connected with DECK is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profit, lost business, or losses you could have avoided by keeping your own records.

11. Changes

We may change these terms as the product changes. If a change matters to you, we will say so on this page and change the date at the top rather than hoping you do not look.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the applicable courts of the Emirate of Dubai.

If a line here is unclear, or you want to know exactly how something works before you put a customer's passport into it, write to us. A person answers.
